Link aggregation control protocol
The Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) is used to automatically configure and maintain aggregations among cooperating systems.
LACP provides controls that allow network administrators to specify exactly which links in a system may be aggregated to which others.
LACP concepts
LACP operates on a set of principles similar to those of the Spanning Tree Protocol.
1. Devices advertise their aggregation capabilities and state information on a regular basis on all aggregatable links.
2. Aggregations are maintained in the steady-state by the regular, timely exchange of consistent state information between the partners.
3. LACP emits state information independently on each aggregatable link.
4. There is no synchronization of LACP messages.
5. LACP messages are link-constrained.
6. LACP can be overridden with manual controls if desired.
LACP concepts又可分為下列幾項:
# Actor and Partner
# System IDs and Priority
# Port Numbers and Priority
# Identifying Aggregation Candidates
# Active and Passive Operation
# Periodic Transmission Frequency
